Paella

Tender marinated chicken, King prawns & Spanish chorizo on a bed of smoky paprika, sundried tomato and lobster-stock infused rice.

Paella

What makes this dish different

Paella is a classic, so we make it the classical way, layering the sauce and super absorbent short grain rice with marinated chicken, king prawns and spicy chorizo. Authentic pimentón (smoked Spanish paprika) and rosemary pack in the flavour, along with the authentic seafood base of lobster stock, white wine and a dash of lemon.

How to cook

This recipe has some raw ingredients so please do not microwave.

Preheat your oven to 220°C/200°C fan/gas mark 7.Remove the film but leave the paella in its wooden tray*.Unfold the foil and tightly wrap over the wooden tray.Cook for 35 minutes in the centre of the oven(add 10 minutes if using a gas oven).Leave to stand for 2 minutes then remove the foil and stir the rice and sauce together. Make sure it’s piping hot throughout.*Our wooden trays are ovenproof but don’t grill or place near element/flame.

Delish food. We have had a couple of Charlie's dishes, only found them recently namely the Paella (twice) which were thoroughly enjoyable and we thought good value for money

Just eaten a Chicken & Mushroom Fresh Pastry Pie and it was just so tasty. Okay a bit pricey but at a different level to the lower price point pies. A really good balance of chicken, mushroom and brilliant sauce. The fresh pastry sets it apart too.

Best moussaka outside of Greece! How refreshing to have a moussaka that is solid and not sloppy, like most supermarket varieties! Really authentic flavours ... simply love it!

These steak and ale pies are the business, for supermarket products they can't be faulted, we've tried other Charlie Bighams products thoroughly enjoyed them all.

CB’s are some of the best ready meals I’ve tried, often as good as home cooking… the macaroni cheese I’ve just had is actually better than my own!

Brian

Charlie's ready meals are the best I have ever eaten. The meatballs Al Forno are the best I have had outside of Florence and New York.
