Tender British beef, slow-cooked in red wine with mushrooms & onions, served with our creamy potato dauphinoise.

What makes this dish different

How to cook

Electric 220°C, Fan 200°C, Gas Mark 7 (+10 mins), 30 mins. Please don't grill!

1. Pre-heat oven. Remove film but leave the beef bourguignon and potato dauphinoise in their wooden trays.  

                                                         

2. Place on a baking tray in the centre of the oven (away from any element or flame) and cook for 30 mins. (if cooking from frozen cook for an extra 10 mins).

3. Leave to stand for 2 mins before serving. Make sure it's piping hot.


This recipe includes some raw ingredients and isn’t suitable for microwaving. The beef bourguignon is best cooked fresh but can be frozen at home.

Potatoes (sulphites), onions, British beef (18%), milk, red wine (sulphites), cream (milk), chestnut mushrooms, bacon (pork, salt, preservative: sodium nitrite*, antioxidant: ascorbic acid), celery, garlic purée, port, cornflour, wheat flour (wheat flour, calcium carbonate, niacin, iron, thiamin), rapeseed oil, Cheddar cheese (milk), butter (milk), beef stock (water, yeast extract, beef bones, salt, molasses, tomato purée, rapeseed oil, dried onions, ground black pepper), Grana Padano cheese (milk, preservative: lysozyme** (egg)), tomato purée, salt, beef gelatine, semi-dried cherry tomatoes, black pepper, parsley, thyme, ground bay leaves.

Secret ingredient: obsession.

*Don’t worry, this is part of the traditional curing method for bacon.
